Talented artist JOSHUA, shares his latest single “Love Me“, which is available on all major streaming platforms.

BEHIND THE SCENES, LET’S KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: Follows in the footsteps of 5SOS, Thomston and Charlie Puth, using songwriting to process and distill his emotional landscape. With the advent of acts like Lorde, Banks and Flume, JOSHUA taught himself music production and songwriting, with only YouTube and his instincts to guide him, developing a knack for catchy hooks and manipulating sounds to draw in his listeners. Since the beginning, JOSHUA has striven to craft
a musical identity all his own, where his songs are heavy with cinematic imagery and unconventional rhymes, taking his listeners on a dynamic journey. Obsessed with duality, JOSHUA thrives in the push-pull nature of life experiences, pairing straight-from-the-heart lyrics with crystalline synths, thumping beats and dark gritty basslines. A creative powerhouse, JOSHUA writes, produces, mixes, has shot and edited his own past promotional photos, designed all his own
branding and merch, and created social media and visual assets. JOSHUA is set to become a
force to be reckoned with. Continuing his onslaught of new music, JOSHUA returns with new single, ‘Love Me’, a minimalist dark pop track that asks if you have what it takes to be with him. This is one of his most vulnerable songs, declaring himself “a lot to deal with” and feeling like it’s going to take a strong person to handle the unintentional emotional rollercoaster. The minimalist production and use of vocal samples harks back to early Lorde tracks where the story and vocal is left exposed, heightening the sense of vulnerability and the unspoken fear of being forever alone.

Talking about the meaning of the track, JOSHUA said; “If I’m going to love, I’m going to love HARD so I wanted to write a kind of warning to any potential partner. Written, produced and mixed by myself, I feel like this is one of my vulnerable songs, and felt like I needed to be as present in the song as possible so I sampled and layered in my voice as much as possible without losing the minimalistic feel I was after. There’s only one small synth sound in the second half of the chorus and then the bass layers; the rest is all me!”
Don’t miss it!
