Los Angeles based singer-songwriter The Wren, shares her latest single “this is gonna hurt” from the album “this is gonna hurt“, which is available on all digital stores.

BEHIND THE SCENES, LET’S KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: The Wren draws her name from the official bird of Arizona, her home state, while at the moment being based in Los Angeles. She pairs contemplative, poetic lyrics with intimate vocals and driving guitar lines to tell stories that give voice to her innermost thoughts. She is the voice to our intrusive thoughts, and the sound to our slightly confusing Sunday afternoons. “this is gonna hurt” is a vulnerable singer-songwriter confession wrapped in a catchy pop/rock package. It finds the The Wren predicting a future of inevitable heartache as she dives into a situation that her might to be too fragile to handle. The Wren teams up with producer and co-writer Matt Foster, who brings a driving rhythm and moody production to contemplative lyrics. Electric guitar performed by Nick Petroccione draws inspiration from pop-rock tracks of the 80’s, providing a high energy approach we have yet to hear from The Wren’s more mellow past releases.
