Talented artist Colourshop shares his latest single “Florence” which is available on all the digital stores.

BEHIND THE SCENES, LET’S KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: Alfredo is an Italian born, South American rooted storyteller based in London, singing to the world. Started his career trying to get some sound out of a cheap Magyar red guitar found in a second hand shop in a village South of Rome. Introduced to the great 60s and 70s international music by his mother, introduced to sophisticated Italian pop by his father, the result is a strange mix you might want to check out. 
 Alfredo moved to London a few years ago to pursue a music career and to open up to new influences and new sounds. In London he started a new project called Colourshop together with his brother Diego and released multiple albums and EP participated to a few festivals and 2 UK Tours and countless concerts all around the world. Diego eventually moved to Spain while Alfredo stayed in London. 
 Colourshop’s music has been appreciate not only in UK but all across the world, so much to be invited to perform in many countries: Russia, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Latvia, Belgium, France, Denmark, US to name a few. 
 In 2019 he took part to a tour in California playing more than 20 dates including Sofarsounds.

“Florence” conceals a strong message in the apparent fairy tale atmosphere it presents: beauty is not a shallow, vain manifestation. Beauty is a necessary, intrinsic quality of the world that surrounds us and we, as humans, should strive for it and appreciate it in all its forms. Beauty is not utilitaristic, instrumental, it does not serve a purpose it is an end in itself for us to contemplate it.

The Italian chorus, “Amore lo sai, ho voglia di te ma tu non ci sei,” is not so much a cheesy love line as it might seem at first, but the climax of the desperate, continuous longing for beauty. After all, without beauty we are reduced to mere logistic, expression of a modern world that prizes utility over feelings and emotions.
