Eleven presents: Angie Robba – Hasard

Artist Angie Robba releases her single “Hasard”.

Many have discovered her on the small screen but her vocation is on stage. At only 20 years old, she already has imposed her recognizable voice and her rich musical culture, from The Beatles to AC/DC.

What surprises at first sight is the maturity of Angie’s writing which reflects her strange childhood.

Her family is based in Lyon and her father’s frequent business travels forced her to study at home. Surrounded by adults, the little girl spent much of her time dreaming in her room, reading, building a rich inner world and listening to Sum 41, Nirvana, Green Day, The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Besides the rock music that she was listening on repeat, there were those big family gatherings where they sang and played the guitar – instrument that Angie started learning at 6. Her grandparents owned the famous Robba Circus so she was raised with the mentality of always being together, gathering around, dancing and singing.

Her inspirations? Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver, Passenger. A rock breeding ground, electronic atmospheres, an undeniable sincerity.

In Angie’s songs, we often find references to constellations and planets, as in the songs « Portable sonne », « Hasard » or « Jupiter ». The cosmos fascinates the singer since her childhood, she has always been carried by what was bigger around her.
