Eleven presents: D.O.S.E SOUND – fantasy

D.O.S.E sound is an anonymous music project built around one simple idea: make people feel something. The name D.O.S.E stands for Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins—the chemicals commonly associated with emotion, connection, reward, and the human experience. Rather than placing a face at the centre of the project, D.O.S.E sound allows the music itself to become the identity.

The single, “fantasy,” is now available on all major digital platforms, offering a deeply personal reinterpretation inspired by Gabrielle’s 2001 classic “Out of Reach.”

Released on August 17, 2026, “fantasy” originates from a song that has remained in D.O.S.E sound’s memory since childhood, when the original first made an impression at the age of eight. The new track carries some of the bittersweet emotional essence associated with “Out of Reach,” while transforming that influence into something entirely new.

Rather than attempting to reproduce Gabrielle’s iconic performance, D.O.S.E sound approaches the song from a male perspective, introducing original lyrics while drawing inspiration from the distinctive cadence and phrasing of the original. The result is less a recreation than a personal musical conversation with a song that has remained meaningful across generations.

“fantasy” also reflects D.O.S.E sound’s broader approach to music: taking familiar emotional references and reshaping them through a different perspective, genre, and personal experience. At a time when discussions around artificial intelligence, authenticity, and music creation continue to evolve, the project places particular emphasis on the human element behind reinterpretation—the emotion, intention, and creative decisions that transform an influence into something personal.

With “fantasy,” D.O.S.E sound turns a childhood musical memory into a contemporary expression of its own, connecting nostalgia with new ideas while keeping the focus firmly where the project believes it belongs: on the feeling the music leaves behind.

Speaking about what makes the release significant, D.O.S.E sound adds: “Well everyone seems so confident in calling my work generated so I started creating interpolations. Maybe those detectors everyone seem to rely on so heavily aren’t actually detecting anything other than your wallet. lol you can’t tell a music generator to make you a song in the same cadence by artist X. you either have sing yourself or sample. I don’t sample. I just make music.”

He continues by adding: “I wanna make sure this is an song that was done out of passion for the original. I knew that song very well. It doesn’t come anywhere near the original in my opinion and it’s not suppose to. I just really liked her delivery and her cadence so I made a male version but my own lyrics.“

Don’t miss it!
