Nellie Feldmann returns with her inspiring new single “Turn Down My Shine,” officially released today and now available on all major digital streaming platforms.

BEHIND THE SCENES, LET’S KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: Nellie Feldamann is a Brighton – based singer-songwriter and session musician, blending acoustic indie songwriting with the intimate textures of Generation X-inspired bedroom pop. Driven by an intense musical sensitivity, her songs move between introspective melodies, raw emotions, and understated arrangements, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

Blending heartfelt songwriting with infectious pop melodies, Turn Down My Shine is an uplifting anthem about embracing authenticity and refusing to let anyone diminish your light. The track captures Feldmann‘s distinctive ability to pair emotionally honest lyrics with polished production, creating a song that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Nellie shares:

“I have been told so many times in my life that I’m ‘too quiet’ especially in previous jobs I’ve had. I don’t understand why people perceive this as a negative thing. Just because I’m quiet doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to say. I actually have many things to say, I just don’t always say them out loud. I wrote this song about a narcissist I used to know. This is my version of an angry song”.

With its empowering message and authentic storytelling, “Turn Down My Shine” explores themes of self-worth, resilience, and refusing to let others diminish your voice or identity. The single introduces a bold new chapter for Nellie Feldmann and offers an exciting preview of what’s to come on her forthcoming EP.
